Moodle: Submit Final Grades
If you have a Cross-listed or Combined section: Your grades will need to entered through the Bruin Portal > Faculty > Course > Grading > Final Grade (knowledge article: Final Grades via Portal)
Before entering grades, things to check:
- Verify your grading scale matches your course syllabus
- Check over the gradebook, make sure there are no empty grades (Moodle excludes all empty grades)
- If a student received an "F" the last date of attendance must be filled in, otherwise it is not submitted.
- Remember once you hit "Submit". there is no turning back, you will need to do a Change of Grade for each student.
Step 1. Locate the ILP Integration block, typically towards the bottom right of the course and click on Final Grades.

Step 2. Using the drop-down menu for Populate final grade from current grade
(2) Change to Final Grade
(3) You will have the ability to change the letter grade being submitted.
(4) If you have any “F” Grades you must enter the last date of attendance
(5) Click on Submit
*Please note: Grades are in real-time, meaning once you hit the submit button, there is no going back. A change of Grade form will need to be entered for each student.

Grades are verified within minutes and view-able in the Bruin Portal > Faculty.
Note: If you do not enter the last date of attendance information as indicated with an “F” grade, those grades will not be posted in the system and you will be notified via email that grades are still missing the last date of attendance information. Your grades are not considered submitted until you have submitted this information.
