Applying to KCC is the first step of your educational journey. We have a wide selection of programs to meet your needs and put you on the pathway to an amazing career.

Step 1: Open an internet browser and go to https://apply.kellogg.edu and click on Start Application (we recommend using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge).

Step 2: Choose either a standard Application or Dual Enrollment/Early College Application.

Step 3: Create an account to track your application.

Enter your personal email address
Create a secure password (8+ characters, containing at least one upper case, one lowercase, number and special character (!@#$%^&*)
Confirm Password
Enter your Legal First Name
Enter your Legal Last Name
Enter your Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY)
Enter your Starting Semester (When do you want to start?)
Finally click on Create Account

Step 4: Click on the Continue Application button.

Step 5: Some of the information is automatically filled from when you created your account.

Options to enter your Middle Name, Suffix, and all your Former Last Name(s) if applicable
Selecting your Gender is optional
Verifying your Date of Birth is correct
Click on Contact Information when finished

Step 6: Use the Mailing/Permanent Address search feature to auto fill in the fields below. If your address is not found in the search you are able to manually fill in the fields.

Step 7: Using the drop down menu, select the Country Code, then enter your Phone number using only numbers including your area code.

Preferred Cell phone will be used to authenticate your account using Multifactor Authentication (MFA)
Optional enter your T-Shirt Size
- This is used for future purposes, when the College will host some events on campus such as "The Bruin Blast" we give out free t-shirts and would like to make sure we have enough shirts of different sizes

Step 8:Enter Optional information below, when finished click on Demographic Information.

Let us know how likely you are to attend KCC
If your parents/guardian have a bachelor's degree or higher

Step 9 (Option 1 of 3): Demographic Information US Citizen: Selecting from the drop down menu, you will need to enter your Social Security Number please enter in only numbers for your SS# (ex. 123456789) without any spaces, dashes, or slashes.

Select if you are Hispanic/Latino if not, which best describes your Race. Click on Go to next step when finished at the bottom of the page.

*Optional to select more than one race.

Step 9 (Option 2 of 3): Demographic Information Non-Citizen select from the drop down menu.

Depending on how you answer there may be more information required
Select if you currently hold a US Visa
- If you do not currently hold a US Visa, will you require an F1 Student Visa sponsored by KCC? If you do, please indicate "yes" or "no" if you're from a country where English is the primary language?

Proof of Funds: Students seeking an F-1 visa must provide proof of funds that show a minimum of $19,617 with an official bank statement in English or certified English translation no older than 60 days. The currency must be in the United States Dollars (USD).

English Competency information Applicants from non-English speaking counties must provide proof of written and oral English competency by submitting official copies of scores from the TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) assessments.

KCC requirements
- TOEFL
  - 173 or higher for the computer-based test
  - 61 or higher for the internet-based test
  - 500 or higher for the paper-based test
- IELTS
  - A minimum sore of 5

Step 9 (Option 3 of 3) Demographic Information Permanent Resident select from the drop down menu, you will need to enter your Social Security Number please enter in only numbers for your SS# (ex. 123456789) without any spaces, dashes, or slashes.

Select Yes or No for Hispanic/Latino
Optional for Race (one or more can be selected)
Click on Go to Next Step when finished

Step 10: Academic History please choose which one best describes you.

If you have a GED or High School Diploma please indicate that versus just being over the age of 18, this is for people that will not have either the GED or High School diploma
Let us know if you have Attended Another College, this will allow you to hopefully transfer in some credits that you have already worked so hard to earn

Step 11: How to enter you High School diploma, Home School or GED information -using the High School Search, type in the name of your High School, Home School or where you attended your GED courses and select from the list.

Change the School Type from either High School, Home School, or GED
Select your Graduation Status
- If Graduated, please enter the Graduation Date
  - If you graduated in 2024, but are not sure of the date, list the Graduation date as 06/01/2024
- You will have the option to add another school after you save
- Save when finished

Step 12: Enter your Application Semester (when you plan on beginning your educational journey).

Educational Goals which vary from:
- Earn a degree and transfer to a 4 year institution
  - Indicate the Area of Study (more information on Area of Study)
  - After selecting the Area of Study, use the drop down for the Program of Study
  - Let us know what schools you may be considering after KCC
  - Go to Next Step
- Earn a degree or Certificate and enter the work force
  - Indicate the Area of Study (more information on Area of Study)
  - After selecting the Area of Study, use the drop down for the Program of Study
  - Go to Next Step
- Guest Student

Step 13: Military Information, if you select any type of affiliation, it will ask for what branch of the Military.
